Investing in the Right Consultant is Investing in Your Business.

It’s been almost a year without a post. Time flies!

Let’s reflect…

A dear friend of mine recently mentioned that authenticity is one of my greatest strengths, and Brené Brown says that vulnerability is the birthplace of trust. Therefore, that is what I offer you.

With several entrepreneurial ventures under my belt, I am fully aware of the challenges that come with starting a business. When you are selling trust and relationships, it can be difficult to bring your best self when experiencing personal strife. This is reflected in regular business operations with employees too. Our personal lives and professional lives cross over much more than we care to acknowledge or admit.

Over the past year, I took some time to reevaluate. I know what I want for FDS, in theory. Implementing those goals is always harder than anticipated, and I know why. The why is why I started FDS. I understand how challenging it is to see the forest through the trees. When you are oversaturated with ideas, and goals, and a desire to make your business work and achieve a dream, it is difficult to be objective, prioritize, and set clear, actionable goals. You wear every hat as a solopreneur, and the jack of all trades is a master of none.

That’s where FDS aims to help. We utilize the 30,000-foot view to guide you out of the forest. I want to offer the services that I haven’t felt were adequately available to me. As a small business owner, funds are limited. Time is finite. Energy is often depleted. I get it. I’ve been there. So, we work with you to make it work. We negotiate a fair wage based on your budget. We help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan to propel you forward. Whether you have an established business that has plateaued or a new businesses climbing uphill, we offer you actionable support to achieve your goals.

I believe that if you are going to trust me with sensitive information about your business, the least I can do is offer you some vulnerability as well.

What sets us apart is that I took this time away to practice what I preach. I connected with other entrepreneurs that I trust, who have experienced similar challenges and similar doubts. I conducted research. I met with mentors. I reached out to people who could give me the objective perspective I couldn’t see, because I am too invested. I heard some hard truths and faced some harsh realities, but that constructive feedback is what is going to make me better at building my business and better at serving my clients.

Not all consultants are created equal. For me, I am extremely passionate about what I do. I provide empathetic leadership while conducting an honest and holistic analysis of your business. I value integrity, humility, transparency, and accountability. I am constantly learning and evolving in my craft. Therefore, my business must adapt to my personal growth, in addition to external changing conditions. If that aligns with your values, then I would be eager to connect and explore how we can collaborate to set your future in sight!
